Extra, Extra, Read all about it!

On Jan. 18th, Kat, CH Kenswith-Elwha Canadian Brass JE and BOW at the 2007 National Specialty, delivered FIVE healthy, squeaky puppies!  I was in Hawaii and Trisa Hansen delivered the litter of three girls and two boys.  They are growing, squeaking when not sucking or sleeping, and are fat and healthy looking.  Kat is her usual superlative self as a mother.  She loves puppies and loves being a mom.  This is her largest litter.  We tried a new supplement out and it WORKED to make a bigger litter.  BB did a good job too and gave me three girls this time!
I will get pictures of the babies up later today.
The two who have stayed here from Touille's litter are Elwha The B's Knees, or Sting, and she is a beauty.  She looks much like her mother and will be that nice, dark grizzle.  The boy, Bzzz, The Bzzz About The B, is a handsome, SWEET boy who would love to do agility.  He is extremely well made and will do well in the show ring.  First and foremost he is a lover.  Both are learning to go outside to do their business and run around out there and explore.  They have met the cats and are duly reverent around them.  We saw an eagle in the pasture when we went out to play with the cats a bit ago, so we decided that was NOT a good time for that much exposure.
Pictures soon.

Another cold day and another visitor

We had children out yesterday and they were great kids, didn't want to pull puppy ears nor puppy tails and were sweet and gente with the babies and sat on the floor, etc.  No, I didn't get any pictures of them with the puppies, but the puppies and the children were good!  I took outdoor and indoor pictures yesterday and today.  Will post them or some of them.
Today a long time admirer of Border Terriers came out from Seattle.  She likes to sit on the floor with me and the pups and we talk books, etc.  Ardeth's brother once had a BT and she is enamored of them.  She is one of their most devoted followers and comes out once every four to six months or so.  She met me and Kathleen, my daughter, and Kate, my granddaughter, in Port Townsend just a couple of weeks ago too!
Fun in the "forest"

All tuckered out after being outside exploring, playing, climbing, etc.  Time for a good, warm nap!  Then, FOOD!  So much for today!

Happy New Year!

Just a note to some of the people wondering if the babies are like their daddy.  Yes, they are learning to TUG!!!  They are champeens already, for tugging.  I just wish that you could see them on the wobble boards, etc.  They can balance amazingly well.
Sorry, but I have to go pick up a bit.  I'll get more pictures on the blog later today.  Kids are coming to play with them and those should be good pictures!
Frost on everything this AM.
