Outside again with Kat and Indie

Well, it was COLD as can be.  We didn't stay out very long.  I was cold and knew that the puppies would get cold fairly quickly and getting too cold would not be good.
They were once again curious and had tons of fun.  It always helps when Uncle Indie is with them.  They think he is the cat's meow.
I'll try to get some more pictures on.  They may not all be from today.
 A new tracking dog!
Maybe I'll stay near the warm tunnel!
I don't mind this rolling device!
Uncle Indie plays very gently with the puppies, but they aren't always sure that it is gentle.  It is.  He is still a puppy himself, but it is amazing how they know how to play with little babies.
 Not bad reach and drive!
 Investigating the world.

Just like any terrier, "Is there a way to get under that fence?"
 Investigation of the new frontier!
Old one from when they were about two weeks old.
This shows the three blues and the two grizzles!  Can you see it?  Probably about a week old.
Is it safe to come out into that COLD?!

Dec. 31st update

OK.  We have a new address, easier to remember and type.  Skip and Betty came over this AM to help me.  That is why the blog has a new look!  I will get relevant links on there for earthdog, etc.
Trouble with this blogging is, with the puppies NEEDING  so much holding, I am behind in my house cleaning.  The kitchen is clean, but not organized.  The rest of the house is a total mess!  So, what else is new when puppies are around?
Time to remedy that situation, after I hug the pups for awhile....
Later,

Dec. 30th adventure

Well, we, Kat and her grandkids and I, just went out to the side yard where it is sunny.  They LOVED it.  They even climbed up the stairs to come back into the kitchen!  Now they are getting ready to take a nap after all that cold and fresh air and new territory to explore!  I caught one of them, Dee, climbing up to the top of what could have been an A-frame!  Trouble is, there was NOTHING to go down, just thin air.  That piece of plywood was moved FAST!  They explored the tunnels, and NO, I didn't take pictures of their first outdoors adventure.  If there were two of me, maybe that would have happened, but I was scared of hawks, holes, traps, etc. and took ALL of my time protecting them from cold, birds, themselves, etc.  Scary for this old curmudgeon, let me tell you!
OK.  Sorry about the lack of pictures of that, but next time.  Maybe in an hour or so after they nap this one off!

OK, trying to put on more pictures. Can I remember how????!

Yes, there ARE five puppies in there fighting for room to suck!  I think that you can spot them if you try!

This set of pictures is from Dec. 14, 2010 and the top set is from Dec. 8th.
Playing on the wobble device in the top picture, playing hide and seek in the bottom picture and two girls by the big barrel in the middle picture, Touille on the right, Bliss inside.

Nov. 27th feeding pictures.  Amazing how quickly they change.  They have LEG now!  And necks!  They have nice movement, converging in front, when I happen to see one coming at me.  We'll see soon, what they have.

I will put more pictures on later today, HOPEFULLY.
I hope that you can see this!

Must be having trouble getting the pictures on the computer.  Darn!

Touille X BB puppies!

The puppies were born Nov. 14, 2010, four girls, three of whom are blues.  The other girl and the boy are grizzles.
The top BT is the babies' grandmother, Kat, Canadian Brass, and the bottom one is their uncle, Juan, Dandy Juan.  The kids come from distinguished lines with great health checks.  The kids below are Mom and an aunt and uncle.  Mom, Touille, for Ratatouille, is in the center and there is about three months old.
The kids sucked hard and have grown and are now six weeks old!  They love to play and when they play they learn to balance, bank, slide, not slide, think, run, play, investigate, roll with the surface upon which they tread, climb, jump (gently and low,) hide in tunnels and under cover, eat hard food, take treats gently, push and ride the skateboard, understand textures underfoot, drink water and play in it, not bite the foot that treads among them, sleep in arms and on laps, hug, kiss, snuffle, and bark and respond to a clicker! They are learning much more, but my brain doesn't bring it all up at once!
Will switch computers and now put in puppy pictures!  Catch more later!
