FINALLY, our litter!!!!

Friday, March 16th, the day before St. Patrick's Day, we had our first litter in exactly nine months!!!!
Kat and Beau announce two boys and two girls, all grizzles!  One boy, Boyle, is TINY and I am getting up every two hours all night to make sure he gets enough to eat!  He IS gaining.  His next biggest sister is also small, about half the size of the two biggest, but not as small as Boyle.  Her name is Darby, which can be a girl's name or a boy's name.  My daughter picked that name and likes it best.  Darby is a spunky little girl.  We like that.  She doesn't need me fending for her!
They all have Irish names for St. Paddy's Day.  The two big kids are Mab, in honor of the Queen of the Fairies and Dano or Blarney in honor of my grandson, Blarney Stone Ian!  Haven't decided on the final name for him yet.  Right now I call him both and that may continue!!!
I'll put up some pictures tomorrow, just to show you how cute they are and how small Boyle is.
Kat is doing well with this, her last litter.  She will go into grandmotherhood and teach all the other puppies that ever come along how to be good dog citizens.  She is the best "mother" ever, to hers and everyone elses' litters!!!!

Just a refresher, the Nov. and Jan. litters from 2010 and 2011 did extremely well at the National Specialty with ribbons for them all and Norman, Elwha's Little Rascal, taking the boy points and being invited to Crufts.  He did go to Crufts and did nothing there, not being the type that the judge breeds and likes, but having fun.  Star Ott showed him to perfection and he is one sweet boy.  Crufts was fun, if a bit overwhelming.  895 vendors!!!!  Couldn't find the one thing I was looking to buy for Heather, a BT to go onto a car grill.  People had heard of them, but how could a person find them in that sea of tents?!!!!  The people there were nice and there were some dynamite dogs to be seen.  Wow!!!!  I am going back next year too!!!

Will try to post often, if not daily.  Thanks for asking after them.  Sweet babies.
